Welcome to these pictures of Australian plants.The site concentrates on mistletoes of the Loranthaceae and Santalaceae/Viscaceae families,carnivorous plants and mangroves, with pictures from all over Australia. All the pictures are subject to the image use policy below. If the genus or species is not referenced, no photos are currently published. All the photos are of plants in the wild and untouched photos are used wherever possible.This site is optimized for viewing in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox and Android systems.

The site is always being updated and new species are added as they are identified. While the site concentrates on North Queensland plants and mistletoes, other interesting Australian plants from specific locations are being added, including identified mistletoe hosts. Beautiful photographs should be shared and there are few reliable web resources available on many of these plants so the site will be gradually expanded to include a lot more Australian plants. Most of the plants featured are small flowering plants or shrubs.Our other specific interests include:
We are based in Cairns, North Queensland and spend a lot of time in the bush identifying and photographing plants in their natural habitat. In North Queensland, there are several regions with endemic flora we visit regularly. All North Queensland plants featured are from the botanical districts of Burke QBU, Kennedy North QKN and Cook QCO.
